I'm going to take a flyer here and ass-U-me this article is about the recent hamas attack and Israel's heavy response .

You make the point that those who flat refuse to accept the helping hands offered may not deserve any further offers .

I'm okay with this, I know it goes against my understanding of biblical teachings but enough is enough .

hamas' only reason to exist, according to them, is to eradicate Jews and Judaism off the face of the earth .

Few who read this and or comment had had the distinct misery of being forced to live under the thumb of a muslim .

It's not fun, you along with any females are considered _property_ and nothing more .

To me, this is cultism .

I'll quit now as I'm sure I've managed to upset most who read this .

Not in particular but that and Ukr/Ru came up as well in a recent conversation with someone i did an end of season ride with. I bring up Israel-Palestine more as an example of backward priorities. The world's problems cannot be all people's problems all the time. What can we control. What can we change. And what are we actually called forth to do? Why should I think or feel anything about events going on far away that I can't influence? Why should I be filled with rage or some other corrosive emotion? Yet it is expected and I suspect it has to do with other themes here around propaganda and manipulation.

If someone has ties to the Jewish/Israeli community then it is much less bizarre for them to go fight or volunteer time or whatever than for people to agitate for the US to back Israel in a carte blanche manner.

I would not conflate innocent Palestinians with Hamas, just as I wouldn't conflate all Israelis with whomever is responsible for blowing up part of an Orthodox Church, St. Porphyrius, and killing 16 innocents.

Interestingly enough, the daughter of a fellow I know just went to Israel to help out .

"what can I do ?" ~ you did it : fixed that broken clutch .

I'd preferred to see pictures of the basket and hub to judge the spline wear / fretting (if any) .

I didn't pull the basket as the fingers were only a little worn (less than I expected) and he had mentioned difficulty shifting until they changed the clutch cable and then it was always slipping.

I did happen upon some posts of yours about Honda CT auto clutches (I think it was) doing general research and I thought you had good write ups. Serving the community. Also funny that I would stumble across your posts - small world syndrome.

Yep ;

I've been writing up how - to's for a long time, sadly I write 'em and send 'em off, don't save 'em and most of the old lists & forums I was on are long gone .

It doesn't take much wear to cause serious clutch drag .

Clutch drag beats the living crap out of every part in the transmission .

I -do- understand you're doing this as a favor and I bet they don't much care .

Such is life my friend .

One of my small world stories from the late 1970's was in Yosemite , I wasn't even there but everyone else said 'oh, you must be talking about Nate !' .

I'm not about scripture or religion, but I can definitely relate to the six degrees of separation maneuver, and that it is pathetic.
